The Alliance for Camphill is an association of individuals who campaign for the values of committed Camphill communities, for people with a learning disability, for the importance of community and for social justice - without which none of the above would be possible. Camphill began in one small manse in Scotland as a pioneering community for people with learning disabilities in 1940. It has grown into a worldwide movement of over 100 communities in 20 countries offering outstanding care. The community in this swinging video is Camphill Village, West Coast, South Africa
Alliance for Camphill is an association of individuals who have come together to promote the ideals of the Camphill movement and social justice for people with learning disabilities. It does not speak for individual communities. It is supported by the Camphill Foundation. It is separate from the Association of Camphill Communities (AoCC) and Camphill Families and Friends.
